14.6.2. Replacement of brushes of the generator and tension regulator
GENERAL INFORMATION

Replacement of a regulator of tension and brushes of the generator can be made, without removing the generator from the engine, but thus it is necessary to remove the top part of an inlet collector.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Switch off ignition and remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Weaken a tension and remove poliklinovy a belt of a drive of the generator.
3. Remove the generator.
4. Unscrew screws and from a back part of the generator remove a protective casing.
5. Unscrew two screws and, being careful, remove from the generator a tension regulator together with brushes.
6. Measure length of graphite brushes which should be not less than 5 mm.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
For replacement of coal brushes отпаяйте токоподводы, take worn-out brushes (And) and springs (In), establish new brushes with springs in a nest of a regulator and solder токоподвод so that the length of brushes made 10,0 mm. At the soldering do not allow gumboil and solder hit on токоподвод, except a soldering place. Check ease of moving of brushes in the holder (C).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Being careful, establish a tension regulator with brushes and fix it screws.
2. Establish a protective casing of the generator and fix it screws.
3. Establish the generator.
4. Establish poliklinovy a belt of a drive of the generator and adjust its tension.
5. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
