14.14. Removal and installation of switches of a steering column

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Remove an inflatable safety cushion from the driver.
3. Remove a steering wheel.
4. Unscrew two screws from the bottom casing of a steering column and remove the top casing (1) steering column.
5. Unscrew three screws (arrow), remove the handle of an unblocking of a steering column (2) and remove the bottom casing of a steering column (1).
6. Unscrew the screw (3) with internal shestigranniky 5 mm for release of the tightening bracket, a steering column fixing switches (4 – a twisted spring, shooters – electric sockets).
7. Disconnect electric sockets from switches of a steering column.
8. Keep in mind that the spiral spring remains on the multipurpose switch of a steering column therefore at removal do not turn a spring from average situation.
9. Remove multipurpose switches.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the switch on a steering column, but at this stage do not tighten a bolt of fastening of the switch.
2. Establish a steering wheel.
3. Moving, establish the multipurpose switch (2) in such situation that the distance (and) between a steering wheel (1) and the switch made 2,5 mm (3 – a bolt of fastening of the switch).
4. Remove a steering wheel and establish the bottom and top casings of a steering column.
5. Establish a steering wheel.
6. Establish a safety cushion in the central part of a steering wheel.
7. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
