4.1.8.6. Ignition system

GENERAL INFORMATION

The system of ignition creates in each cylinder of the engine at some point the spark category which ignites the compressed fuel mix. For formation of a spark in the ignition coil tension of the battery 12 B will be transformed to a high voltage of ignition of 25 000–30 000 Century.

For definition of the moment of ignition the control unit uses information which is storing in memory, and information from the sensors established on the engine. The system of ignition receives operating signals from the sensor of the Hall or the pulse sensor. In addition the moment of ignition is corrected also on a signal of the sensor of a detonation which is sensitive to premature ignition and, respectively, reduces a corner of an advancing of ignition.
Prevention

At work on ignition system not to damage semi-conductor devices (diodes and transistors), is necessary to fulfill the following requirements:

  – in operating time of the engine do not disconnect the accumulator, the generator or any electric sockets;
  – at carrying out any works remove the negative plug from the accumulator;
  – at carrying out electrowelding works on the car disconnect the generator and the control unit;
  – do not allow operation of the engine with the generator disconnected from electric system.

Do not concern high-voltage wires a hand and do not disconnect them at the working engine or at a provorachivaniye of a cranked shaft of the engine a starter.

Wires of system of ignition and wire of measuring devices disconnect only at the switched-off ignition.

Wash of the engine make only at the switched-off ignition.
