4.1.8.8. Main malfunctions of a control system of the engine

GENERAL INFORMATION

Before determination of malfunctions be convinced that start of the engine is made correctly. At start both cold, and the hot engine do not press an accelerator pedal. After start of the hot engine it is possible to increase slightly in pressing of a pedal of an accelerator engine turns.

Also before determination of malfunctions be convinced that fuel is available in a fuel tank in enough, the engine has no mechanical defects, the accumulator is charged and the starter turns a cranked shaft of the engine with sufficient speed, the system of ignition is serviceable, the fuel system is tight and in it there are no pollution, a hose of ventilation of a case pure and the tire of grounding of the power unit is reliably connected.

Previously check the malfunctions which have been written down in memory of a control system of the engine.

At work on fuel system previously remove pressure in fuel system.

REASON
ELIMINATION METHOD
The engine is not started
At inclusion of ignition the electric fuel pump does not work Check an electric chain of giving of tension to the fuel pump and reliability of connection of electric sockets
The safety lock is faulty Check integrity and, if necessary, replace a safety lock of the fuel pump or a control unit with the engine
The relay of the fuel pump is faulty Check working capacity and, if necessary, replace the relay of the fuel pump
Tension on fuel nozzles does not move Check an electric power-supply circuit of fuel nozzles
The complicated start of the cold engine and operation of the engine with interruptions
The temperature sensor is faulty Check and, if necessary, replace sensors of temperature of cooling liquid and temperature of air arriving in the engine
The engine works with interruptions
Unreliable contact in electric sockets of a power-supply circuit of the fuel pump Check a condition, clear and draw in contacts of electric sockets in a power-supply circuit of the fuel pump. Check and, if necessary, clear contacts of a safety lock and the relay of the fuel pump
The amount of fuel submitted to the engine is reduced Check productivity of the fuel pump
Pollution of the fuel filter Replace the fuel filter
The fuel pump is faulty Check operability of the fuel pump
The fuel nozzle is faulty Check and, if necessary, replace fuel nozzles
Unstable operation of the engine on transitional modes
The system of supply of air in the engine is not tight Check and, if necessary, tighten connections of system of supply of air in the engine
The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid or the air arriving in the engine is faulty Check and, if necessary, replace sensors of temperature of cooling liquid and temperature of air arriving in the engine
Tightness of fuel system is broken Visually check tightness of fuel system. Check reliability of connections of fuel system
The complicated start of the hot engine
Elevated pressure in fuel system Check pressure in fuel system and, if necessary, replace a regulator of pressure of fuel
The pipeline of return of fuel between a regulator of pressure of fuel and a fuel tank is hammered or deformed Clean or replace the pipeline
Acceleration of the engine occurs to a delay
Fuel nozzles are not tight Check and, if necessary, replace fuel nozzles
