4.1.6. Check of the fuel pump

4.1.6.1. Check of giving of tension

GENERAL INFORMATION

The fuel pump is in a fuel tank.

Prevention

Gasoline extremely fire - also is explosive, therefore it is necessary to show care at work on any part of fuel system.

Works on fuel system are necessary for making in well aired room.

At work on fuel system do not use open fire, electric welding and tools, at work with which sparks can be formed.

The fuel system is under constant pressure. At a rassoyedineniye of elements of fuel system fuel can be sprayed, therefore leaving fuel collect rags.

At carrying out check tension on the storage battery should be not less than 11,5 Century.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a fuse No. 28 condition for the fuel pump. If necessary replace a safety lock.

2. At starter inclusion the fuel pump should turn on at least on 1 second. At operation of the fuel pump characteristic noise should be audible.

3. If the fuel pump does not work, connect remote control according to the scheme provided on fig. Remote check of the fuel pump.

4. Press the switch of remote control. If the fuel pump still does not work, check the relay of the fuel pump.

If the pump does not work, execute the following actions:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove back sitting and unscrew a carpet for access to a flange of the fuel level sensor and the fuel pump.
2. Disconnect the electric socket from the fuel level sensor and the fuel pump.
	3. Connect a tester or a light-emitting diode sampler to extreme contacts of the electric socket.
4. If tension on contacts of the electric socket is present, remove the fuel pump.
5. Check an electric chain between a fixing flange of the fuel pump and the fuel pump. Also check a condition of contacts of the electric socket.
6. If the electric chain of the fuel pump is serviceable, means, the fuel pump is faulty and it is necessary to replace it.
7. Establish the fuel pump and the fuel level sensor in a fuel tank.
