1.3.31.5. Removal and installation of the storage battery

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before removal of the battery switch off ignition and disconnect everything consumers of a current.
2. From two parties compress a cover of the holder of safety locks and cast away it aside.
3. Unscrew and remove from the storage battery minus a wire (1) (see fig. An arrangement of the holder of safety locks over the storage battery).
4. Weaken fastening of a positive wire.
5. Cast away at first a forward clip and then a back clip from the battery. For this purpose it is necessary to wring out some clips from the battery.
6. Remove up the holder of safety locks together with a positive wire from the storage battery.
7. Unscrew a bolt, fixing the storage battery, and remove it from the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At installation of the battery it is necessary to track that ignition and all consumers of a current were switched off.
2. Establish the battery on the place intended for it and fix it a bolt. Thus track, that the sock of fastening of the battery coincided with the deepening intended for it.
3. Pull over a place the holder of safety locks together with a positive wire on the battery before fixing of clips on longer party of the battery.
4. Reliably tighten a nut of fastening of a positive wire.
5. Connect minus a wire to the storage battery.
6. Establish into place a cover of the holder of safety locks and fix both spring clips.
