1.3.24. Check of back brake shoes of drum-type brakes
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and fix on supports.
2. Take caps from viewing openings of a brake board. A portable lamp, through viewing openings, shine brake shoes and check their condition and thickness.
3. If thickness of an overlay of a brake shoe (without the metal basis) less than 2,5 mm, blocks are subject to replacement. If through a viewing opening it is difficultly to define a condition and thickness of blocks, remove a wheel and a brake drum.
