The tension of a poliklinovy belt with ribs is made automatically. It is necessary to check periodically a belt condition, and at detection of defects, to replace a belt.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Establish the gear shifting lever in neutral situation. |
2. Lift the car and fix on supports. |

3. Remove the lower right part of a mudguard of the engine (it is specified by an arrow). |
|
4. With chalk put a label (1) on a belt. For a bolt of fastening of a pulley (shooter), turn a cranked shaft clockwise before emergence of a label, thus visually check a belt condition. |
5. On a poliklinovy belt there can be defects (see below). In the presence of any of defects, replace a belt. |
6. Establish the lower right part of a mudguard of the engine. |

Defects
Oil and greasing traces.
Hardening of edges of ribs, steklovidny edges.
Availability of dirt and stones between ribs.
Rubber outgrowths at the bases of ribs.

Wear of edges of ribs. It can be a consequence of that ribs (In) at rotation get on pulley ledges, thus ribs of a belt have a trapezoid form. The phase of stretching is visually appreciable at the bases of ribs (С), especially on a light site. |
