2.1.3.3.4. Check of hydraulic pushers of valves

GENERAL INFORMATION

The correct installation of klapanny gaps is very important, as they in big degree define operation of the engine. If klapanny gaps too big, operation of the engine is noisy and efficiency of the engine will be reduced, as valves open too late and are closed too early. More serious problem arises, if klapanny gaps too small as valves cannot be closed completely on the hot engine that can lead to serious damage of the engine.

These engines have hydraulic pushers, which automatically cope pressure of system of greasing to compensate a gap between a cam of a camshaft and the corresponding rod of the valve. Therefore regular check and adjustment of klapanny gaps is not required. However it is necessary, that engine oil of high quality and recommended viscosity and engine oil was used replaced in recommended intervals. At start of the cold engine there is a small delay while pressure of engine oil will be leveled in all parts of the engine, especially in hydraulic pushers. Therefore valve about 10 seconds then knock vanishes can "knock". It is a normal state provided that all pushers work further silently.

After the engine was not started within several days, valves can "knock" during longer time as almost all oil flows down from the top part of the engine and working surfaces of bearings. At this time it is necessary to be careful not to damage the engine, that is to avoid sharp change of power setting while all pushers will not be filled with engine oil. At engine warming up turns of fast idling (at most from 2000 to 2500 rpm) should not be exceeded within 10–15 minutes, or knock of valves will not stop yet. If noise of pushers is present, switch off the engine and execute the following actions.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect and remove elements of system of injection of fuel.
2. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders. Remove a maslootrazhatel and laying from a head of the block of cylinders.
3. Turn a cranked shaft while the cam over a checked pusher will not be established directly up.
4. Press a pusher a wooden or plastic wedge.
5. If a free wheeling of a pusher more than 0,1 mm, pushers have to be replaced.
