2.1.4.1. Gear belt

2.1.4.1.1. Replacement

GENERAL INFORMATION

Gear belt of the engine 1,4-I

1–top casing of a gear belt;
2–bolt, 20 Nanometers;
3–tension roller of a connecting belt;
4–gear connecting belt.
Check a condition of a gear belt. Before removal of a gear belt it is necessary to put on it to the shooter specifying the direction of rotation of a gear belt;
5–bolt, 20 Nanometers;
6–back casing of a gear belt;
7–bolt 10, Nanometer;
8–bolt 20, Nanometer;
9–eye;
10-a bolt of fastening of a directing roller, 25 Nanometers;
11-a directing roller;
12-arm;
13-bolt, 50 Nanometers;
14-consolidation. In the presence of damages use new consolidation;
15-water pump;
16-tension roller of the main gear belt;

17-a directing roller;
18-bolt, 50 Nanometers;
19-pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft;
20-bolt, 20 Nanometers;
21-main gear belt. Check a condition of a gear belt. Before removal of a gear belt it is necessary to put on it to the shooter specifying the direction of rotation of a gear belt. Do not bend a gear belt;

23-a bolt, 90 Nanometers + to tighten on a corner 90 °. At installation it is necessary to use a new bolt. Before a vvinchivaniye of a bolt grease with a thin layer of engine oil a basic surface of a head of a bolt. Dovorachivaniye of a bolt on 90 ° can be made in stages;
24-maple belt. Before removal of a maple belt it is necessary to put on it to the shooter specifying the direction of rotation of a maple belt;
25-bottom casing of a gear belt;

The drive of the camshaft operating inlet valves, is carried out by a gear belt from a pulley of a cranked shaft. The drive of the camshaft operating final valves, is carried out by a gear belt from a pulley of the camshaft operating inlet valves.


Prevention

The general operations on replacement of the gear belt, concerning all engines, are stated in subsection 2.1.3.2. In this section the differences concerning the engine 1,4-I are stated only.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew four screws and remove the top casing of the engine.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
4. Establish the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point in a compression step. In this situation adjusting openings (are specified by shooters) on pulleys of camshafts should be directed to each other and be on one line (the arrangement of adjusting openings on the engine 1,4-I is shown). In this situation it is possible to insert into adjusting openings дорн or a drill shaft in diameter of 8 mm.
5. At installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT the label on a pulley of a cranked shaft should be combined with the index.
6. Remove the right support of the power unit (see subsection 2.1.3).
7. Lower the right part of the engine so that access to a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft opened.
8. Remove auxiliary maple a belt.
9. Holding the special tool a cranked shaft from a provorachivaniye, unscrew the central bolt of fastening of pulleys of gear and maple belts.
10. Remove a pulley of a maple belt from a cranked shaft and then with two thick washers screw in by hand a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
Cars with the conditioner
11. Unscrew directing and tension roller of a maple belt.
12. Unscrew the lower part of a casing of a gear belt.
13. If gear belts are reused, using chalk or paint, note the direction of rotation of gear belts.
14. Weaken a nut of fastening of a tension roller of the main gear belt therefore the roller will turn and will weaken a belt tension. Remove the main gear belt.
15. Weaken a bolt (1) fastening of a tension roller of an auxiliary gear belt and, having turned a tension roller clockwise, weaken a belt tension. Fix pulleys of camshafts the special tool and remove a gear belt.

Prevention

After removal of gear belts do not turn pulleys of camshafts, otherwise there can be an impact of valves to pistons.


16. Installation of a gear belt make according to earlier made marking noting the direction of rotation of a gear belt. If to look from a forward part of the engine, pulleys of the engine rotate clockwise.
17. Check that the cut-off tooth (it is specified by an arrow) on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft is combined with the index on a forward cover of the engine.
18. Establish a connecting gear belt first of all on a pulley of a gear belt of the camshaft operating final valves, then on a pulley of a gear belt of the camshaft operating inlet valves. The weakened branch of a belt should be from below from a tension roller.
19. Turn a tension roller (1) auxiliary gear belt so that the index (2) was combined with a ledge on a head of the block of cylinders.
20. Turn of a tension roller of an auxiliary gear belt carry out an internal shestigrannik. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a tension roller the moment of 20 Nanometers.
21. Establish the main gear belt consistently on a pulley of the water pump, a tension roller, the pulley of a cranked shaft directing a roller and a pulley of a camshaft, operating inlet valves.
22. Check the adjusting provision of a tension roller of the main gear belt. The bolt (2) fastenings should pass through dredging of a mobile plate (1) roller (3 – the index).
23. Using an internal six-sided key, turn a tension roller of the main gear belt before combination of the index (3) with dredging on a mobile plate. In this situation tighten a nut of fastening of a tension roller the moment of 20 Nanometers.
24. Check that pulleys cranked and camshafts are in the provision of installation of the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point.
25. Establish a casing of a gear belt.
26. Establish a belt pulley of a cranked shaft and fix it a new bolt.
27. Before a vvinchivaniye of a bolt grease the lower part of a head of a bolt with pure engine oil. Tighten a bolt the moment of 90 Nanometers and then tighten it on a corner 90 °.
28. Fix a support to the block of cylinders, having tightened bolts of fastening the moment of 50 Nanometers.
29. Using new bolts, fix the right support of the power unit.
30. Establish a popolnitelny tank of the amplifier of a steering.
31. Establish maple a belt.
