Electronic system of stabilization of ESP

Cars with anti-blocking system (AVS) can be also equipped with electronic system of stabilization (ESP).

By means of system of stabilization control of dynamics of the car in limiting modes is carried out, for example, when overcoming turns on high speed. The system of stabilization will involve anti-blocking, antiprobuksovochny and protivobuksovochny systems and reduces danger of demolition or car drift at all possible conditions of a paving. At all speeds of movement the system of stabilization operates together with ABS. At failure of ABS work and stabilization systems is broken. The system of stabilization joins automatically after engine start. If necessary this system together with antiprobuksovochny system can be switched off by key pressing and is again included.

At the switched-off system of stabilization the control lamp of ESP burns. Usually the system of stabilization is always included. Only in certain exceptional cases when pro-slipping of wheels is desirable to switch off preferably system, for example:

 – at movement with antisliding chains;
 – at movement on deep snow or on friable soil;
 – when rocking the got stuck car.

After overcoming of such sites it is necessary to include stabilization system again.


For ensuring trouble-free operation of protivobuksovochny system it is necessary, that all wheels were dressed in identical tires. Distinction of ways of a running in of tires can lead to undesirable decrease in capacity developed by the engine.

Action of system of stabilization

In electronic system of stabilization the anti-blocking system, antiprobuksovochny and protivobuksovochny systems are integrated. The electronic system of stabilization not in forces to overcome the borders established by laws of physics. It is necessary not to forget about it, especially at movement on the slippery or wet road. Therefore it is necessary to coordinate a mode of movement of the car with a condition of a paving and the general traffic conditions always. The raised degree of safety thanks to existence of system of stabilization does not mean that it is possible to risk recklessly!
