GENERAL INFORMATION

Being addition to the elements ABS, EDS reduces transfer of a torque of the engine under adverse traffic conditions, especially on liftings and at car accelerations, eliminating pro-slipping of one of driving wheels. Thanks to mechanical blocking of differential improvement of transfer of a torque as thus the party with great value of factor of a friction can transfer a bigger torque is reached.

The electronic control unit receives information from ABS sensors about speed of rotation of driving wheels and constantly compares them. In the presence of a difference of number of turns over about 110 rpm of EDS joins automatically and reduces torque transfer by a revolving wheel until it will not have approximately the same speed, as not slipping wheels. Thanks to such management that to a wheel with the best conditions of coupling with the road the increased torque is transferred is reached. EDS is automatically disconnected at speed of movement of the car above 40 km/h, and also when passing turns and when overheating brakes.
