GENERAL INFORMATION

Details of the lever of the hand brake

1–handle of the lever of the hand brake;
2–safety washer;
3–facing of the lever of the hand brake;
4–six-sided nut, 25 Nanometers;
5–adapter. For cars with an armrest;
6–draft;
7–jack;
8–adjusting nut;
9–bolt;
10-cables of the hand brake;
11-switch of a control lamp of the hand brake

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a back part of the central console.
2. Unscrew and remove the lever of the hand brake.
3. Unscrew an adjusting nut behind the lever of the hand brake so that it was possible to remove cables of the hand brake from the jack.
4. Disconnect a cable of the hand brake from the jack.
Cars with back disk brakes
5. Disconnect a cable of the hand brake from the lever of the back brake mechanism.
Cars with back drum-type brakes
6. Remove a brake drum and disconnect a cable of the hand brake from the lever of a brake shoe.
7. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports.
8. Remove back wheels.
9. Take a cable of the hand brake from the holder on a back beam (arrow A) and from fastenings on the bottom.
10. Take a cable of the hand brake in the arrow direction from a directing pipe (1).
11. Take a cable of the hand brake from under the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Move a cable of the hand brake into directing pipe.
Cars with back disk brakes
2. Connect a cable of the hand brake to the lever of the back brake mechanism.
Cars with drum-type back brakes
3. Connect a cable of the hand brake to the lever of a brake shoe and establish a brake drum.
4. Fix a cable of the hand brake in holders of a back beam and on the car bottom.
5. Connect a cable of the hand brake to the jack of the lever of the hand brake and screw an adjusting nut.
6. Adjust operation of the hand brake.
7. Establish a back part of the central console.
