2.1.9.1. Consumption of oil

GENERAL INFORMATION

The consumption of oil is the amount of oil necessary for ensuring of process of combustion fuel - an air mix. Oil losses do not belong to the category of a consumption of oil in connection with a leakage of system of greasing of the engine. The consumption of oil also defines high temperatures and the pressure which are present at operation of the engine. The consumption of oil is influenced also by service conditions of the car and a driving manner. The maximum consumption of oil – 1 l on 1000 km of run of the car.


Prevention

Do not fill in engine oil above max label on щупе, otherwise not burned down oil can get to an exhaust system and damage the catalyst.
