13.8. Removal and installation of a forward wing

GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of fastening of a forward wing

1–forward wing;
2–bolts of 9 pieces;
3–spring holder of a nut;

4–consolidation;
5–arm

Distance between the top parts of forward wings and mutual situation between wings in the horizontal and vertical planes

and = 2 mm

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a front bumper and a bumper beam.

2. Remove facing of a niche of a forward wing.

3. Remove the lateral repeater of turns.

4. Unscrew 9 bolts, fixing covered (2, see fig. Elements of fastening of a forward wing).

Prevention

In order to avoid damage of a paint and varnish covering wind with a sticky tape of a place nearby from screws of fastening of a wing.

5. The wing is established on a layer of protective mastic therefore for separation of a wing from a body soften protective mastic by means of the hair dryer.

6. The hair dryer put on a flat nozzle and, gradually warming up mastic, remove a wing.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Before wing installation into place clear an interfaced surface and put zinc paste in places of fastening of a wing on a wheel niche and a forward rack. This paste is used as anticorrosive protection.

2. Establish a forward wing on the car, combine openings under bolts and screw up bolts of fastening of a wing.

3. At installation of a wing check, that gaps between a wing and a cowl, and also between a wing and a forward door were uniform on all length.

4. Establish facing of a niche of a forward wing.

5. Establish a beam of a bumper and a front bumper.
