GENERAL INFORMATION

Fuel pump of a high pressure of the diesel engine

1–a bolt, 20 Nanometers + to tighten on a corner 90 °. At installation it is necessary to use new bolts;
2–pulley of the fuel pump;
3–nut;
4–connecting union, 25 Nanometers. For a submitting fuel hose from the fuel filter;
5–fuel pump of a high pressure;
6–valve of an otsechka of fuel, 40 Nanometers;
7–connecting unions. For the submitting pipeline;
8–the submitting pipeline. To the fuel filter;
9–nut, 25 Nanometers;
10-топливопроводы high pressure, 25 Nanometers. Replacement of pipelines is necessary for making only in a set. Do not bend pipelines;
11-connecting union, 45 Nanometers. With the delivery valve;
12-bolt, 25 Nanometers;
  13-fuel nozzle. The fuel nozzle contains the needle motion sensor;
14-bolt, 20 Nanometers;

Check of the moment of injection of fuel should be made at the working engine with use of an electronic tester. Because electronic testers are available only at service stations, adjustment of the moment of injection of fuel with use дорна further is given, but this method it is possible to establish only approximately the moment of injection of fuel therefore it is necessary to make in the shortest terms adjustment of the moment of injection of fuel at service station. Adjustment of the moment of injection of fuel is necessary for making after replacement of a gear belt, replacement of the fuel pump of a high pressure or pulleys of a gear belt.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine in such situation that the piston of the first cylinder was in the top dead point in a compression step.
2. In this situation fix a camshaft an adjusting ruler. In this situation insert дорн VW-3359 into an opening of an adjusting flange of a pulley of the fuel pump and an opening of an arm of the fuel pump (it is shown by an arrow). Dorn will fix a pulley of the fuel pump from a provorachivaniye. Insert дорн on such depth that the opening in дорне was at distance about 3 mm from an adjusting flange of a pulley of the fuel pump. In quality дорна it is possible to use a drill shaft in diameter of 6 mm.
3. If an opening in an adjusting flange of a pulley of the fuel pump and an arm of the fuel pump were not combined and дорн it is impossible to establish, it is necessary to make initial installation of the moment of injection of fuel.

Initial adjustment of the moment of injection of fuel

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Weaken bolts of fastening (1) pulley of the fuel pump therefore the pulley can be turned in relation to an adjusting flange. Do not unscrew the central bolt of fastening of an adjusting flange.
2. Turn an adjusting flange of a pulley of the fuel pump before combination of adjusting openings in a flange and an arm of the fuel pump. Into the combined openings insert дорн and fix an adjusting flange from a provorachivaniye.
3. Tighten bolts of fastening of a pulley of the fuel pump the moment of 20 Nanometers.
4. Take дорн, a fixing pulley of the fuel pump. Remove the adjusting ruler fixing a camshaft from a provorachivaniye.
5. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine on two complete revolutions in the direction of rotation of the engine and establish it in situation at which the piston of the first cylinder will be established in the top dead point in a compression step. Check that the adjusting label on a flywheel was combined with the index.
6. Using дорн in diameter of 6 mm, fix a pulley of the fuel pump from a provorachivaniye. If дорн it is impossible to establish, repeat adjustment process.
7. Take дорн from a pulley of the fuel pump.
8. Establish laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders, a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and fix nuts, having tightened them the moment of 10 Nanometers.
9. Establish the top casing of a gear belt.
10. Establish a plastic cap in an opening of a case of coupling.
11. At the first possibility make check and adjustment of the moment of injection of the fuel pump at service station.
12. After exact adjustment of the moment of injection of the fuel pump three bolts of fastening of a pulley of the fuel pump tighten the moment of 20 Nanometers and then tighten them on a corner 90 °. After such tightening of bolts they are necessary for changing at each unscrewing.
