5.3. Alignment of an exhaust system

GENERAL INFORMATION

Distance x from two parties of an exhaust pipe and a cross-section beam

After each removal or a rassoyedineniye of elements of an exhaust system it is necessary for leveling concerning a body so otherwise the system will be in a tension that will lead to emergence of cracks or additional noise.

Alignment is necessary for making on a cold exhaust system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift the car and fix on supports.
2. Weaken fastening of a tightening bracket between the catalyst and the average exhaust silencer.
3. Establish an exhaust pipe in such situation that it was parallel to a cross-section beam and distance x was identical from two parties of an exhaust pipe.
4. The back exhaust silencer with a back exhaust pipe arrange horizontally in relation to the earth.
Front-wheel cars
	5. Move an exhaust pipe into a tightening bracket to a label and (arrow 1).
Cars with the engine 1,6-I with a mechanical transmission
6. Move an exhaust pipe into a tightening bracket to a label s (arrow 2).
7. Tighten bolts of fastening of a tightening bracket the moment of 40 Nanometers. The tightening bracket should settle down horizontally to the left side of the car.
8. Lower the car.
