5.2. Removal and installation of an exhaust system

GENERAL INFORMATION

Turbonagnetateli of cars with AHF and ALH engines

1–final collector;
2–inlet collector;
3–from a radiator of nadduvayemy air;
4–consolidation. At installation it is necessary to use new consolidation;
5–bolt; 25 Nanometers;
6–consolidation. Observe the assembly provision of consolidation;
7–arm;
8–washer;
9–screen;
10-turbonagnetatel. At removal of a turbonagnetatel previously it is necessary to remove the right power shaft;
11-pressure box;
12-from the air filter;
13-consolidation. At installation it is necessary to use new consolidation;
14-sealing ring. At installation it is necessary to use a new sealing ring;
15-pipeline of supply of oil;
16-hollow bolt, 40 Nanometers;
17-bolt, 15 Nanometers;
18-bolt, 40 Nanometers;
19-arm;
20-bolt, 25 Nanometers;
21-consolidation. At installation it is necessary to use new consolidation;

Removal

The exhaust system can be removed as assembled, and on separate sections.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and fix it on supports. Remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
2. Put on nuts and the bolts, fixing elements of an exhaust system the means destroying a rust. Wait some time while the rust will not be destroyed completely.
3. Unscrew a casing closing the electric socket a lambda sensor (two bottom arrows).
4. Release a wire a lambda sensor from clips on the thermofilter (the top shooters).
5. Disconnect the electric socket a lambda sensor.
6. On all-wheel drive models and models with the engine 1,6-I with an automatic transmission a lambda sensor it is established in a final collector and it is not required to disconnect the electric socket a lambda sensor.
7. On models with engines 1,4-I a lambda sensor it is established ahead about sealing laying of a flange of a reception exhaust pipe.
8. From below unscrew a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector (nuts of fastening are specified by shooters).
9. Support an exhaust system, having tied up it a wire to the car bottom.
10. Unscrew a forward part of an exhaust system from a forward cross-section beam.
11. Weaken tightening collars and remove an exhaust system.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For simplification of unscrewing in the subsequent nuts and the bolts, fixing an exhaust system, grease them with high-temperature Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC paste.
2. Before repeated connection of elements of an exhaust system clear their connections by an emery paper of the hermetic and rust remains.
3. Fix holders of an exhaust system to a forward cross-section beam so that the slanted party (it is shown by an arrow) was directed to a forward part of the car.
4. Establish elements of an exhaust system in rubber pillows.
5. Tighten bolts of fastening of holders of an exhaust system to a forward beam the moment of 25 Nanometers.
Engines without a turbonagnetatel
6. Connect a reception exhaust pipe with new laying to a final collector and tighten fastening bolts in the sequence shown on fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of fastening of a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector on the engine without a turbonagnetatel, the moment of 40 Nanometers.
Engines with a turbonagnetatel
7. Connect a reception exhaust pipe with new laying to a turbonagnetatel and crosswise tighten bolts of fastening the moment of 40 Nanometers.
8. If necessary turn sections of an exhaust system so that all exhaust system settled down at identical distance from a body.
9. Finally tighten all nuts and the bolts, fixing an exhaust system.
10. Establish the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
11. Fix a wire a lambda sensor spring clips. Connect the electric socket a lambda sensor and close it a casing.
12. Start the engine and check tightness of an exhaust system.
